Matt Reeves had an exclusive interview with www.comingsoon.net. Reeves talks about his inspiration for the monster, audience feedback, and a possible Cloverfield sequel!
!~Warning, contains mild Spoilers~!
Here is a snippet of the interview:
CS: Any possibilities for a “Cloverfield” sequel?Reeves: This was so fun ’cause we’d never done anything like it, and I think we’d want to find a similar challenge, to find a way to have its roots in this but be fresh and new, otherwise you’re just repeating yourself. There’s a moment on the Brooklyn Bridge, and there was a guy filming something on the side of the bridge, and Hud sees him filming and he turns over and he sees the ship that’s been capsized and sees the headless Statue of Liberty, and then he turns back and this guy’s briefly filming him. In my mind that was two movies intersecting for a brief moment, and I thought there was something interesting in the idea that this incident happened and there are so many different points of view, and there are several different movies at least happening that evening and we just saw one piece of another.
Reeves also talkes about Cloverfields mysterious ending!

lolage. Spread the news please Paul! Tell people about this blog!
Cheers mate.
I don’t like the idea of the sequel being based off someone else’s camera during the incident. It’s a lot like those horrible “Cloverfield copycat” videos that have been popping up on youtube after the movie was released. Seriously, good movies like these should not be ruined with sequels. The most I’m expecting from Bad Robot is a release of a “Special Edition” Blu-Ray boxset that has deleted scenes (the ones that the government took out — anyone notice how the army scene with the entire crew seemed too short and rushed?) and maybe some “fake” interviews with Tagruato and some operatives from TIDOwave. That would be cool.
But a sequel? In my opinion, I don’t think we need one.
Opinion agreed with Pr0!
JJ was on Howard Stern today, and said that the movie studio is going to want a sequel. So, chances are, there will be one.
dammit, why doesn’t anyone post in my blog? I’ve got three articles with some great information, and two of them are related to Cloverfield! ARGH!!!
